This special tool helps stabilize the LokHead Winch when it is used for long raises, heavy loads, and drill-powered operations. Harken’s guidance states that the Protect-Connect should be used for drill speeds over 60 RPM, and that RPMs should not exceed 300 RPM even with the Protect-Connect installed. When using a powered drill, only operate the winch in the 40:1 mechanical advantage mode to reduce stress, wear, and tear, on both the drill and gears of the winch. Not EN 13157 compliant.
