Statement
My passion in rescue began at age 16 as a volunteer firefighter cadet (Louisville, KY) and continued as a volunteer firefighter until 2012. When I moved to Seattle in my early 20’s found a new passion for all aspects of mountaineering from alpine, rock, ice, climbing to backcountry skiing, snow shoeing and sea kayaking. Through a friend at the fire station I learned about Seattle Mountain Rescue and after being accepted into membership I was able to combine two of my passions of rescue and mountaineering.
